So, two weeks after the experiment below, I returned to this location on a moonless night.
At this time of year, the galactic core is only visible for about an hour, so I'm pretty happy with this effort.

What have I been doing?
One of the things I enjoy is taking photos of non-models, you know, regular people, that haven't had any studio style photos done of them.
This is Eleni, one of the kindest, most fun, energetic and enthusiastic people I have met. She manages this, while still being loved, because it's genuine.
(add quote from Eleni).

Where have I been?
This is a shot, that was more of an experiment. Mostly it was to see whether the local city would create too much light pollution, but as you can see, it's not too bad. However, the moon was coming up, which is why it's not especially dark.
It did however create this effect with the clouds and as it turns out, I'm quite pleased with the photo as it is.
A return shoot is planned (before we can no longer see the galactic core)... weather and time permitting.
